Hortonworks Sandbox for HDP and HDF is a quick and easy personal desktop environment to get started on learning, developing, testing and trying out new features. In addition to offering the latest editions of HDP sandbox on a VM, Hortonworks also provides a pre-configured Azure HDP Sandbox available on the Microsoft Azure Marketplace.

The HDP Sandbox, a single node VM, makes it easy to get started with Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Hive, Apache HBase and many more Apache data projects. The HDF Sandbox makes it easy to get started with Apache NiFi, Apache Kafka, Apache Storm, Druid and Streaming Analytics Manager.
